Leeds LGBT+ Community Consortium (hereby known as LLCC) is committed to protecting everyone’s data and privacy.

We aim to ensure that any information given to us is held securely and safely.

In this policy displayed on the website it includes:

  • how we use people’s data
  • what personal data we collect
  • how we ensure privacy is maintained
  • people’s legal rights relating to their personal data.

Please read this policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and store your personal information.

LLCC may receive your personal information in several ways; however, we never buy, sell or lease lists.

All mail-list databases are password protected.

Subscribing to our Mailing List through our website

When you submit your email address via our website to be kept up to date with news it is only used to send you information relevant to LLCC and its partners. When you receive an email from LLCC via one of our mailing lists you can unsubscribe anytime by emailing us at lgbtqcc@gmail.com.

Your information will always be kept secure.

Contact Form

Our website contains a secure contact form with which you can send us messages. All data fields marked as mandatory are required for processing your request. If they are not provided, your request cannot be carried out. The provision of any additional data is voluntary.

Registering Your Interest Via the website form

When you submit information to our website this information is gathered for research and marketing purposes to allow us to better understand who is interested in LLCC. By completing this form, you may have provided us with sensitive data and have consented to allowing us to retain the information you have provided. It will only be used internally and will always be kept secure. If you select the option on the form to be kept up to date, then we will add your email address to our mailing list.

Information from Direct Email

When you contact us directly via LLCC emails the information is only used to reply directly to your query and no contact information is added to any general mailing lists unless you agree to this.

Images and Photographs

When using images of people, LLCC will seek permission from those who appear unless the image is already in the public domain. Whenever possible photographers will be credited.

Should you subsequently decide you do not wish LLCC to use your image please bring this to our attention.

Your Rights

As the person concerned, you are entitled to exercise your rights against us. In particular, you have the following rights:

  •  In accordance with Article 15 GDPR, you have the right to request information as to whether or not, and to what extent, we process personal data about you.
  • You have the right to have us correct your data in accordance with Article 16 GDPR.
  • You have the right to have us delete your personal data in accordance with Article 17 GDPR.
  • You have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted in accordance with Article 18 GDPR.

You have the right, in accordance with Article 20 GDPR, to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit this data to another controller.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will try to keep your personal data for no longer than reasonably necessary. There is a legal requirement to keep accounting information for a minimum period of six years. We may also retain your data for longer periods in case of any legal claims/complaints.

Further processing

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Privacy and Data Protection Policy, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where necessary we will seek your consent

Security

Any personal data will be password protected and will only be accessible by LLCC officials. Passwords will be changed at irregular intervals. Any actions undertaken and used of your personal data will be tracible, so accountability is shown.
